Denise O'Sullivan agrees a new contract with Glasgow City

Glasgow City is delighted to announce that they have agreed a new contract with Republic of Ireland internationalist Denise O’Sullivan.

19 year old O’Sullivan joined the Scottish champions in the summer from Cork Women’s FC and has gone on to enjoy a very successful first five months with the club.

With the Scottish Cup Final tomorrow, where lifting the Cup will ensure the treble for City and give them a record breaking six Scottish Cup trophies, securing the signature of O’Sullivan is a welcome boost to Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black as he begins to prepare for next season.

He said, “I am thrilled we have managed to agree a new contract with Denise. I think that in her short time here she has shown a lot of quality. I believe her increased training programme for next season will see us greatly benefit and I believe Denise could go on to establish herself as a really top level player and fulfil her huge potential.

“I will be looking to tie up more players shortly and also look to strengthen the squad as we have to prepare for the challenges of next season whilst also bearing in mind the world cup qualification calendar.”

O’Sullivan herself expressed her excitement about staying with City. She said, “I am delighted to have signed for Glasgow City again. It's a great club, very professionally run and I am looked after very well.

“In my first season with Glasgow I have been involved in winning the League, getting to the last 16 of Champions League and also have a Scottish Cup final to look forward to tomorrow. It has been a great experience for me and I look forward to challenging myself even more in the next season with this club.”
