Recent departures 
A few well known faces have recently departed the club and we would like to thank every single one for their massive contribution to our treble winning success in 2013 and in years gone by.
Ciara Barnes, Danni Pagliarulo, Suzanne Mulvey, Lisa Robertson, Julie Nelson and Cheryl Gallagher are 6 players who all played a vital part in our history, most notably Ciara and Suzanne who spent a considerable number of years at the club.
Ciara Barnes remains at Glasgow City in the capacity as youth coach, a position she has held at the club for a number of years, but on the football field, she will be playing for Spartans this coming season.
Suzanne Mulvey joined City back in 2007 and despite suffering a number of seasons with injury found the back of the net 35 times in 41 starts for the club. Suzanne has moved across town to fellow Premier League side Rangers.
Cheryl Gallagher has taken a short sabbatical from the Scottish game as she moves to Switzerland for work and Danni Pagliarulo joins her old side Spartans after experiencing back to back trebles with Glasgow City.
Lisa Robertson also moves to an Edinburgh side, joining her former side Hibernian after spending one season with City.
Northern Ireland international Julie Nelson returns back home after the end of her short term contract with the Scottish Champions.
Commenting on the departures, Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said, “Every new season brings changes and this club are usually at the forefront. Some players move on and that is part of the game. I would like to thank Ciara Barnes, Cheryl Gallagher, Suzanne Mulvey, Julie Nelson and Danni Pagliarulo for their efforts throughout their time at the club. Lisa Robertson has returned to Hibs and it was not a decision taken lightly. Managing her hectic lifestyle made it very difficult for her and I have to say she is better placed being at a club nearer home and we wish Lisa and all of our other former players the best of good luck for the future. Of course Jess Fishlock has moved on as her loan deal expired. I believe that every player made a great contribution to the success of the club over the past few years and would like to thank them for their all of their efforts.”
